I have 2 Mountain Horned Dragons, 1 male, and 1 female. The male is super healthy, he’s running around, eating, climbing, basking, doing his reptilian thing, however the female worries me. She isn’t as active. Currently she’s on her ceiling hanging on to it, sleeping every other few minutes. When I first got them (I purchase both from Petco on the same day 12/9/10), she was a little grumpy but I figured that was normal since animals do have their own personalities as well. When I got her she wasn’t sleeping as much and enjoyed the Full Spectrum UVB light that I have for them. Today, she is staying as far away from the light as possible. I’m guessing it could be that she overheated. I was planning on waiting to see her condition tomorrow before taking them to the vet, but I figured that I need to get them checked out anyways so I might as well take both, the only thing is I don’t have a job so I need atleast a guesstimate as to how much they’d charge me. It would be a VCA Animal Hospital chain because that’s the closest to my house and it would be both Male and Female MHD

When I first looked into what reptile was the best choice for a beginner, I couldn’t make up my mind. I figured that Tropical or Desert, they would require a Terrarium regardless so I purchased a Zilla brand 10 gal basic Tropical kit which included the terrarium and screen cover, the light dome, the full spectrum UVB light bulb, a heat mat, the liner, and a temp/humidity gauge all for 40 bucks which I thought was a pretty sweet deal. I set my mind to a tropical lizard and ended up going with 2 mountain horned dragons, male and female. Only with further research did I learn that these dragons require a terrarium that was more taller then actually longer. Now I’m stuck with this 20" long 10gal Terrarium (which now I know is too small for 2 MHDs). Where online would I be able to purchase a tall terrarium instead of a long terrarium? I’m really sure that I’m going to lose my female unfortunately, she’s pretty sick right now and I’m taking her into the vet sometime this week so a terrarium that will accommodate just one MHD?
